Moore went undrafted out of Valdosta State in 2017, was cut by the Patriots, and Indianapolis claimed him off waivers. Nine years later he's still there — the longest-tenured Colt by a wide margin.
The 2018 breakout (66 solo, 4.5 sacks, 14 PD, 4 INTs) was the year that established him as one of the league's premier slot defenders. He's averaged ~8 PDs and 2.4 INTs per season since.

22 career INTs — the most by any active slot CB in the NFL.

22 INTs in 9 seasons as a primary slot defender is exceptional production. Most slot corners hover in the 5-12 INT range over a career — Moore has nearly doubled it.
Add 14.5 career sacks, 41 TFLs, 22 QB hits — that's a sub-defender producing pressure stats at a 4-3 OLB rate. The total DPI rate (combined tackles + PD + sack) profile would not look out of place on a hybrid SAM linebacker.
2018: 4.5 sacks as a slot CB — most by any CB in the league that year.

As a 2nd-year UDFA slot corner, Moore put up 4.5 sacks as a blitzer — the most by any cornerback in the NFL in 2018. Combined with 14 PDs and 4 INTs, that 2018 line is one of the most complete slot-CB seasons of the past decade.
The season earned him a 4-year, $33M extension with Indianapolis the next August — generational money for an UDFA slot defender at the time.
3 INTs in each of his last 3 healthy seasons (2023, 2024) plus 1 in 2025 — back as a ballhawk.
SplitAfter a 0-INT 2022 season that raised retirement-cycle questions, Moore re-emerged in 2023-2024 as a takeaway threat: 3 + 3 INTs across those years, plus 8 TFLs in 2023 — his second-highest career mark.
The 2025 season (14 games) added 2 FFs — the first time he's posted multiple FFs in a year. Skill set is evolving from coverage-first to a hybrid disrupter as he heads toward year 10.
Pick-6 in his first-ever pro start, then 3 more pick-sixes over 9 years.

| 2020 | 1 |

| 2025 | 1 |
Moore's first pro start (2018 rookie year) produced an INT vs the Bengals — he's added 4 pick-sixes since 2020, including 2 in 2023 (a season where he also flipped to wearing #23 as a tribute to a former teammate).
The 4 pick-sixes across 9 seasons reflect both vision (route recognition is elite) and short-area burst — the slot CB skill at its peak.
From UDFA to $33M extension to 9 seasons in 1 city — a slot-CB outlier story.
ComparisonMost undrafted players don't stick 3 years. Moore is in year 9 with the team that signed him off waivers. The Colts have churned through three head coaches (Pagano, Reich, Steichen), four defensive coordinators, and four starting QBs in that span — Moore has outlasted all of it.
His combined 463 + 158 = 621 tackles is the most by any CB in Colts franchise history; the 22 INTs ranks 2nd.
